Nice! I gotta find me something like that. I could have gotten up the tree and got a good bit but it was -7 I think at that point in the morning. Real feel was a lot worse lol so I was content with boots on the ground 😅 -

Went and figured I'd pick these today and they looked pretty nice! Definitely bigger since 5 days ago even with the snow and slush. Honestly it seems they like it. -
Guess I missed that part lol 😂 Best way to learn is 1: get field guides and a microscope and go at it, straight up, + 2: research papers research papers research papers..there are centuries worths in Chinese medicine alone. 3: The shroomery forums is great for all types of new age mushroom related questions from people who have and do the work. You just have to dig through the crap at times, honest. And honestly you might get more of a following for you're micro-farm making YouTube videos or just cataloging pictures here like I have been doing with my foraging finds.

Maitake tree I missed!. And I say 'tree' cause there was old growth all up and down the tree. Pounds ands pounds of food! Then I'm out of the woods walking down the road and look over the bank and boom. frozen oysters served lakeside 😂 -
They look very similar to some image matched results for chanterelles. Honestly they instinctively made my mouth water and I just wonder if they have that sweet&nutty smell like chanterelles normally do. They look like some nice fruits to munch on!

Spot I picked on last month sprouting back. I walked by a couple days ago and they are loving the snow settling on them and growing big. Next set of pic will be when I pick these in a few days! (Hopefully) 🍀😂 -

First pic. Definitely some velvet foot, 2nd and 3rd photo like you said galerina. Don't eat! I've been finding a ass load of oysters and 'winter oysters' with velvet foots very close by or right on the same tree. -

The last 4 pictures are 1 big tree loaded with Reshi. Almost every shelf of snow is one or a cluster of them. Most were a bit past due, but I definitely have to come back and see those two almost 12" long pieces at the bottom and all the others covered in snow! -

The white ones seem to resemble many features of Hygrophorus fungi. Definitely be careful with these. A good few are edible, but they are tricky to Identify and have plenty bad lookalikes. -

From what I can tell by the image it's a type of club fungus. Possibly..? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavariadelphus_truncatus Either way I haven't seen those before, very interesting!
