  • The Hoosier Mushroom Society was formed in 2009. For the last several years, we have been an informal mushroom hunting organization in the state. Starting in 2013, we will be accepting dues paying members to the organization.

The mission of the Hoosier Mushroom Society is to promote the science of mycology and the study of fungi.

    Our interests include:

collecting and identifying wild mushrooms and other fungi
    cooking with wild mushrooms
    photographing mushrooms
    arts and crafts with fungi

If you have an interest in any of these areas of fungi, we invite you to join our club and come visit one of our events. As our membership grows, we will be holding more and more informational speakers and lectures exploring the many different areas of fungi.

If you have never been to a foray and would like to know what they are all about, visit our About Forays page.

The Hoosier Mushroom Society is operated by a volunteers, and depends on engaged members to remain active.
