I like how more people have been contributing! 🎉  It honestly started with a thought, I kinda wanted a way for me to keep a easy record of stuff I've collected in case it gets lost in the ether of a smart phone. I then remembered I joined this site and tried to make it a bit more than just that and try to spread info however small or great. Anyone can always message someone and ask for a ID if you aren't sure, but how cool would it be to have and look at a collection of species so diverse and complex as fungi, not from all over but the exact state/ region as Indiana or the east north Central. And at the same time have like minded individuals who are interested just as much as you or even more, answering questions! Be safe Happy Holidays and Happy hunting. Stay warm!!! xnme Posted January 1 Author Report Share Posted January 1 The last 4 pictures are 1 big tree loaded with Reshi. Almost every shelf of snow is one or a cluster of them. Most were a bit past due, but I definitely have to come back and see those two almost 12" long pieces at the bottom and all the others covered in snow! MMelton Posted January 4 Report Share Posted January 4 The most recent interesting finds on our 5 acres are discovering flammulina velutipes and galerina marginata on opposite sides of the property within a couple days of each other. I'm new at this and totally didn't think I'd see fruiting mushrooms in late December or January.
