jungleboy
I was out walking again and came across these mushrooms? Might they be oysters?
Hoosierfunguy
Yes, those look like oysters that a tree slightly past their prime. The fresher, the better with those ones. I recently cloned and cultivated some wild yellow oysters. To me they have an unpleasant taste by themselves (more so when they begin to decline), but with a little olive oil, some salt and apple cider vinegar they taste really good. I've heard that white wine can be used instead of vinegar for sautéing them.

Bruce
Pleurotis pulmonarius. To me, they smell like anise. Bruce
