What information do I need to identify mushrooms?

We made a checklist that will guide you through the process - Mushroom Checklist. All the infomation on the sheet is not necessary, but the more you can fill out, the easier it will be to fully identify your find. Some of the terminology may be new if you are new to mushrooming. Part of our goal will be education, so feel free to email us or join us at an event to learn more.

What should I bring to collect fungi?

Bag or Basket (not plastic)
Bug Spray
Small Knife
Compass or GPS
Water
Snack
Park Map
Notebook & Pen
