Learn Morel Mushrooms

Tom Nauman from Morel Mania will be in Bloomington on Saturday April 9th to give a presentation on Morel Mushrooms. The event will take place at RCA Park in Bloomington, IN. Tom will give a discussion on morels, followed by a Q&A, which will be followed by a hunt in the woods around the park. The event will start at 1 pm.

Brown County Mushroom Hunt

The first event of the Hoosier Mushroom Society will be held on Saturaday, April 16, 2011 in Brown County Indiana. We are organizing this event with another group, so we will release the exact location much closer to the final date. We are going to have a staggered schedule throughout the day, so you can come and enjoy the day with us as your time permits.

We are using the ticketing system here just to get an idea about how many people we should plan on attending. You can come without a ticket, but we request that you reserve one for our planning purposes.

We are accepting donations for this event, so that we may have some funding to pay the travel fees for potential speakers or professional mycologists at forays later in the year.

8:00  am - Gather to begin the day and head out

12:00 - 1:00 pm - Meet back at starting point for lunch

5:00 - 6:00 pm - Meet back at camp for dinner

6:00 - dark - Final Hunt

(Sunset around 8:20) - Raffle - Campfires - Music

* Food and Beverage will NOT be provided. BYOF BYOB
*This would be an adult only campsite. 
*Kids welcome to the daily forays. 

Please signup to attend this event, so we know how many people to expect. 

We will be camping at our final location, and you are welcome to join us for the evening. There may be a nominal additional fee for camping depending upon the final location that we decide on. Hope to see you there!
