Some were at the base of trees and some along buried wood. Working on the spore print. I will add that to the photos when its complete. Hoosierfunguy Posted September 15, 2020 Report Share Posted September 15, 2020 At what stage do you decide that a honey mushroom is too far gone to harvest and eat? I've found that less than 10% of them in my area haven't been invaded by larva within the first day of them surfacing. I've only cooked the ones that hadn't been obviously eaten and the flavors were not as pleasant as I've heard many others speak of.
