Questions about Indiana Mushrooming Scene

Recommended Posts

Hi! My name is Maya Lewis, and I'm a senior in college.

I’ve always been interested in mushrooming and have gone mushrooming back home, and for my senior research project, I've decided to study foraging. I want to learn about how and why people gather wild items, especially mushrooms, and the role it plays in their lives. To this end I'm interviewing people who go out for mushrooms and edible plants. However, I don't know too many people in the area who do this, and I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in talking about their mushrooming experiences, or could point me in the direction of people who might?

Thanks so much!

I would think your best bet would be to attend some forays and talk to the people there. Personally i go for the enjoyment of being in the woods and looking for some good eats.
