  1. I stumbled across a few smallish purple-spored puffballs (Calvatia cyathiformis) today while mowing the back acreage. Same place I found them last fall. 2. The recent rains have really brought out the puffballs in central Indiana. Over the past two days I've collected Lycoperdon perlatum, Lycoperdon pyriforme and Calvatia cyathiformis, along with a smattering of Agaricus campestris . A couple of photos are attached.
  3. Hello there. These giant white mushrooms have been popping up all over the lawn and are getting really big! I am pretty sure it is some sort of puffball and edible. But I wanted to double check and get a second opinion. The inside is solid white, all one texture, and with a texture similar to tofu. Thanks!
