    Jelly fungus

    Ive been seeing these at Fort Harrison State Park. I thought they were Auricularia sp. "Wood Ear". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auricularia

    That one looks a bit gone. I saw a vid on youtube .. Guy named oldmanofthewoods soaks them under cool water and wrings them out . when ones in good shape are bitter

    I thought it also looked like this one. Melanoleuca melaleuca - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanoleuca_melaleuca ..but never ever eat gilled mushrooms without being absolutely sure what it is. not work getting new kidneys or dying .. also is similar to a 'death angel' ..no veil on stem though ..
