Jmills
Found growing at base of dead ash in my yard. Believe they are oysters, but I lack the knowledge to say for certain. Also if they are, are they beyond eating in this condition? Edited September 26, 2020 by Jmills
Howard
Jmills Yes, these are oysters; probably Pleurotus pulmonarius. They are past prime condition, though. They are a bit dry and the gills are turning yellow. They would be chewy and probably pretty tasteless, at this stage.
